After all, Nintendo couldn’t possibly deliver an HD handheld back in 2011, so it made sense for them to take the next possible step, which would be stereoscopic 3D.Īs a final note, considering VR is currently emerging and that it uses the same stereoscopic 3D system as the 3DS to provide an immersive experience, it seems clear that 3D is indeed the next possible step. I wouldn’t call 3D a more logical step forward than HD in the general sense, especially since HD is almost required to make 3D look decent but I do think 3D is the next step after HD, and I definitely think it was the next logical step for a Nintendo handheld. I know the system could be annoying in it’s first iteration, but it was greatly improved for the new 3DS, adding facial recognition and a greater FoV. They need to get it together, not because I care so much for graphics, but because it shows how little effort a is being put into such an infamous and iconic franchise as Pokémon.įrom the limited number of polls I’ve seen, it seems that the majority of 3DS owners actually do use the 3D feature. I know this game will probably be amazing, but I expected things like this to improve, and I’m not unreasonable for doing so. Today, hearing that OR/AS did NOT fix the issue, and that Sun and Moon aren’t going to either with the added fact that they are dropping 3D all together is extremely disappointing.

I honestly assumed they fixed the framerate issue in OR/AS, and that they’d be able to include full 3d in Sun and Moon without lag. I’ve played games with better graphics, AND FULL 3D.

There is absolutely no excuse for it to have been a problem ever. As much as I love Pokémon, the developers for it (in terms of graphics) seriously suck. My New 3DS XL does lag a bit when I use the 3D. it’s has nothing to do with the complexity of the game and has 100% to do with the dev team being amoungst the bottom of the barrel for Nintendo which is ironic since Pokémon, quite arguably the most successful and profitable franchise ever created has made more money for them then quite possibly all the other dev companies combined and they are the worst ones at making games to take advantage of the hardware.
#POKEMON SUN AND MOON 3DS SOFTWARE#
that is 100% a software optimization problem, Pokémon has pretty much the worst graphics of all the ones I’ve listed, the game is great but definitely not because of the visuals(without 3D, the moves in 3D when battling are pretty nice looking) so yeah. every single title, from a slew of different devs that I have are all FULL 3D EXCEPT Pokémon and now not even battles. now that I’m typing this is just realized. xenoblades, full 3D, every Zelda, full 3D, fire emblems, full 3D, yaiko watch, full 3D, metal gear, full 3D, the marios, full 3D, the kirbys, full 3D, monster hunter series, full 3D. Exactly, it be different if half the devs utilized it and the other half had problems with it, but it isn’t the case.
